Second General Assembly in Liège

This week, the FlexGeo Project General Assembly took place at the Université de Liège, kindly hosted by the Applied Thermodynamics Laboratory. We look back on two active and fruitful days, marked by productive discussions, forward-looking ideas and some enjoyable evening activities.

A special thank you to Marie Peeters, Elise Neven, and Vincent Lemort, who did an excellent job in organizing and hosting the event. They ensured everything ran smoothly and created a welcoming setting for our meetings and exchanges.

Some highlights of the meeting included:

  • A guided visit to the experimental facilities of the Applied Thermodynamics Laboratory, featuring several innovative test rigs – including one of FlexGeo’s rev ORC/HTHP rigs.

  • A presentation by Tuğrul Hazar from our sister project nGEL – Smart Use of Geothermal Energy, offering valuable insights and opportunities for potential future collaboration.

  • Interactive workshops focused on innovative concepts for flexible geothermal energy systems.

Overall, the General Assembly provided an excellent opportunity to reflect on recent progress, align on next steps and continue building strong momentum for the months ahead.
